So, this is a single shot RAW I did with some extension tubes. Im not sure I like it yet, so let me know what you guys think.

Much of the image is out of focus and there are some halos. Good Effort nonetheless....Keep Shooting.

I agree with digicam on this one.

No need to vote as Digicam has pointed out the focus problem Jordan. Keep on working on Macro as apparently it isn't as easy as it might appear. I haven't taken one I found acceptable to post yet. :)

The idea is great, but Eds right.

To get a perfect macro image you need a dedicated 1/1 macro lens. Macro work has a very shallow depth of field, a few millimeters in some cases. Also the very slightest movement will cause blur…Try to use a tripod, use a cable shutter release or timer fun

function, avoid macro work in a windy situation…Have a look at my ‘Yellow & White on Black’ posted on 27th March. This was taken indoors with a black card as background. I couldn’t get this image 100% either…

Wow, thanks for the awesome tips my friend!!! I will definitely take all of that into consideration next time. Hey, do you ever use extension tubes? Any tips on using those? They seem to make the depth of field even more shallow, maybe like 5mm @ f16.
