At 47-feet tall and weighing in at 7 tons, Tex Randall is touted as the state "Biggest Texan." Tex was built in 1959 by Harry Wheeler to promote his western curio shop along US Highway 60 in Canyon, Texas. Constructed of concrete, wire mesh, rebar and structural support pipes, Tex has withstood west Texas winds of over 100 mph. He originally wore real denim jeans, a red checkered shirt and casually held a cigarette in one hand as he overlooked traffic along the highway. Canyon Main Street organizers are currently collecting fund to restore Tex to his former glory in a "Cowboy Up, Help Save Tex" champaign. ©2012 Michael Schumacher

I like to see a little more light on Biggest Texan, But I do like the richness :) 8++

Agree with Laddy. But the unusual subject is worth a 9 for me.

I normally don't think that sillohuette works that great with HDR but in this case it looks pretty good.

Thanks again everyone for the feedback. Had a couple takes with more detail in Tex but looked really unnatural after processing with sunset directly behind.

My artistic vision was more directed to sunset colors and dramatic clouds. Any details in Tex seemed detracting from focus of sunset imagery. What do you think?

I agree with you Schu on not giving more detail on the Tex, it would than look unnatural. Beautiful image, minus vignetting on the upper corners
