Just as the sun was setting over the horizon, I went in the backyard and saw the perfect balance of light on the well I built last spring. I love "golden hour" shots. I hope you like this one.

Yes, you would recognize a riding helmet, wouldn't you. Shelby rode equestrian for a few years when she was younger.

Pitty that the background is interfering with the main subject in the foreground. What about unfoccusing or reducing contrast of the background with Photoshop?

nice well, top right corner blurry, and what is the distracting red line in background? It seems out of place.

Eric and Eduardo- to quote David thorne: โ€œOpinions are like nipples, everybody has one. Some have firm points, others are barely discernible through layers, and some are displayed at every opportunity regardless of whether the audience has stated "I am

interested in your nipples" or not.โ€

Randy, next time you take a picture of this well, can you please cut down all of the trees and foliage around it so it's not so busy. Or, maybe you can encase it in a huge black box and add some indirect lighting

I will take all those into consideration Phil. Thanks for the helpful hints. I was really getting tired of the forest.

@Ricardo- that is an oil lamp. We fill it with Kerosene in the summer and light it to keep the bugs from the back yard.

I recommend Citronella oil scares flies and mosquitoes, smells better than kerosene.
