After my father-in-laws death we begun going through his house to inventory things he had.
He did all of the work around this fireplace. I kept all of the things around it to preserve it how it has been for years. The tile work is amazing.
Not to overstate the obvious but the uneven light is due to the sun coming in at the right hand side of the room causing it to look a bit uneven. Not much I could do about that..

9...White balance is way off Phil which in turn is flattening the details for me...Maybe it's the bright sunlight coming through the coloured curtains...

Sorry Phil, just read your info again, I didn't read it fully the first time. Auto white balance in Elements, PS, Lightroom or ACR will resolve most of it but my suggestion would be to change it in camera after taking test shots. That how ever would depen
