I was lucky enough to visit Antwerp and Gent in Belgium over the weekend. This is a shot from a bridge just outside the city.

I prefer the Original Perspective with boats and buildings to the Right side. It has more Eye Appeal for me that way. Just One Man's Opinion. Thanks for sharing the 0 Value Exposure to compare the Contrast of HDR to NON. Your processing skills are Spot on. Favorite!

@digicam I also like the original perspective. I read somewhere lines should always go from left to right. I assume the conventional way it's not always the best after all ?

@carlo , I may have mentioned this in the past but will do so again. When I was a young teen, (50+ years ago) I met a Photo /Journalist from LIFE Magazine who came down to my home town ( Houma, La.) from New York to do an article on Cajun Life in Louisiana. Back then I had a Kodak Brownie Camera. He could see even at my young age (12-13) that I was into taking pictures. He told me about the Rule of Thirds and that placing your main subject (whenever possible) to the right side of the image gave the photograph more EYE APPEAL. As I see it the main subject matters here are the Boats and Buildings .Explaining that as we grow and learn to read as children that the minds EYE is trained to see things from Left to Right. The same applies to images (Photographs) and most things we see in Life without really realizing it as we grow Older. Exception, Not all cultures read from Left to Right. Just passing down what I learned from this Professional. Take it and use it for what it's worth to you. Some would argue just the Opposite applies but I for one always see more Eye Appeal in an image that has the main subject matter on the right side of the image rather than the Left.
