Avoid with Canon ISO 125 ... there is too much noise, better ISO 100, 160, 320 640. With hdr is very necessary the war on noise...

@pandarino are you talking in general that iso of 125 has more noise than the other settings you listed? If so , I was completely unaware of this issue and will have to read about it. Regarding this image I didn’t see much noise in it. I usually check it before I post it. But it was rustic!!

@steve_zasadny I was referring in general .... Here in this photo no noise.

@steve_zasadny , Higher the ISO the MORE NOISE. Common Knowledge. If you are part of the Choir then you already know this. Sing along Choir Boy!

@digicam I do know the higher the iso the greater the noise. The way I understood Pandarino was that there was something unique about the 125 iso and that other higher iso would actually be better. I’ll have to look that up because it would be new to me. He referred to Canon on that. At least that’s the way I understood that.

Let me explain better, you have a Canon of 50mpixel, really no ISO problem .... but some studies have shown that if you want to increase ISO on the Canon it is preferable to use multiples of 100 (200, 400, or multiples of 160 (320, 640) .... Avoid 125 and its multiples (250, 500) because they contain more noise. This study was done on the Canon 5D MK II, and 7DMK II.
