Sunset in countryside São Paulo

24 May 16:39

I see you used 3 very wide exposures, from a -2 to +2. It seems that you could have opened up the image more with this wide of range. I know it is a sunset but the middle and top of tree is a bit too DARK IMHO. Thanks for sharing and Good Luck in the Contest.

@digicam tks for the comments, I actually darkened more on purpose to more sunset feel

@eduardo_kiehl , I understand what you're saying but one of the main purposes of HDR is to open up dark areas when possible. I think you could have done this by turning up your highlights just a bit then backing down on the midtones to achieve the dark sunset feel you wanted and this would have shown more detail in the center and top of tree. Plus the upper half of the sky shows signs of banding. Just one man's opinion.

@digicam yes the banding... I tried topaz denoise AI,but didnt help much, tried blur the sky in photoshop also with no sucess

@eduardo_kiehl ,banding is usually caused by over processing. Trying to get too much out of an image. Sometimes Less is More.
