Etendeka Namibia sky plateau

A cloudy sky broods over the Etendeka Plateau in Namibia. This structure was formed when 450,000 cubic kilometres of basalt lavas poured out over this part of Africa and also the then adjacent South America. The process took about 10 million years and started at 135 million years before present.
