I see you made a second attempt at this one. This has more contrast as was suggest. And more contrast is better I think - but I preferred the other composition actually over this one. Maybe the light coming in from the side windows is a little bleached

Nice detail; i think a point should be taken off for anyone in Italy as it's so easy to find interesting subjects in the country.
