Maybe a single raw converted to 3 individual shots would have worked better here. The boats are moving around far to much for this to get anything above 5 points. Compositionally it works but the movement in the boats (the main subject) is hugely distract

Yes I agree - it's a very nice composition with great potential, but the boat movement could have been sorted I think. Not that I know as I have not yet tried anything like this - but could you have used a layer mask in Photoshop to fix that? Or as sugges
