I could have used one of my many snowy images as my Christmas Greeting type ‘card’ to you all, but decided instead to offer something which I hope will provide a rather more thought-provoking image. If I had to choose just one image from my Kenyan photo-shoot then it would have to be this one. I called it ‘Watching’. The child was one of about 150 mostly aids-orphan children in a Nursery School situated in one of the slum areas of Nairobi. There was no doubt that the school provided some sort of order from the chaos of their lives and there was plenty of fun and laughter. But look in to this child’s eyes and spare a thought for what their future might hold. A sobering thought, particularly at the time when many of us are surrounded by family and have a great deal to be thankful for.
Happy Christmas, and sincere thanks to all those of you who have viewed my Gallery this year and/or found time to make comments.

Excellent shot and processing! I have a very hard time with HDR / people's faces ... they always look too surreal. This one looks perfect!
