I shot this on a cold winters day with a thirty mph cross wind as you can see from the cows tail and her ear. Let me know what you think of the processing and how I could improve it.

I think you need to lighten the shadows, but I like it. Why only a two stop range. Ideally, you want at least 4 stops.

Great shot mate, but....you must improve the composure of the shot, the lovely cow is to close on the edge and at the corner in the frame.The shot needs a bit more white, black point, gamma and micro contrast adjustment(play with the sliders).
