This was an old filling station that had seen better days, but I thought it would make a cool photo. I added some background texture to it to make it a little more interesting and moody.

No need to add background textures. In fact you should leave your photo as it is.

Before reading, he could not understand how with a Cannon and iso 100 I had so much noise, the texture appears to noise. I like the composition.

I love the subject matter ... nothing like something "abandoned" to benefit from HDR. Personally, I might have reframed a little, but nice job.
