Southcote Lock is on the River Kennet in Reading, England. It was built between 1718 and 1723 under the supervision of John Hore of Newbury. The Victorian brick building that overseas Southcote Lock is the redundant Southcote Pumping Station which provided much of Reading's demanding water needs.
