After seeing Randall's image, with whom he followed advice from one of the top users on this site. I decided to have a go at something similar myself.
This image of myself was taken and processed by my friend Daze420, I have just added the painterly layers, then masked the original back through, to create a half painted/photograph.

I like the picture treatment here very well, you have done a great job with the texture but I'm not sure if you have the right image, if you know what I mean??

in Randys picture there is nothing that can tell us what time the picture was taken, so in a way the image is timeless and a subject that suits the after treatment,do you follow me in that thought?:-) have a nice weekend:-)

One might say that these filters come with PS and it's just pushing a button.
But not,
you have to know which filter to use, how to use, at what time and settings.
For this photo, all requirements were fulfilled.

Maybe the flickr is better place for this pic,if you know what I mean. It`s very artistic and beautiful image, but i still miss the HDR effects.

Like this, would make an excellent large canvas print in a study or office. You will have to let me know what filters you used.....

Im very happy with response on this thankyou very much....Kaj this was processed as a normal HDR, just a painterly added to it. Maybe Saturdays should be the day to let people try something different on a regualar basis, following on from Ricardos and Ran
