Former unable stately castle area is the oldest part of Lübbenau. The park entrance is a wrought iron gate with a tower and a crown decorated with snakes. This points to the last owner of the caste domination Lübbenau, the family of the Counts of Lynar. The family is originally from Tuscany. The fortress builder Roch Guerrini Count Lynar came in 1568 after Germany was the first of his family. Elizabeth, the widow of Count John Casimir to 1621 the government bought Lynar Lübbenau. This was more than three hundred years in possession of a family.
At the site of today's building there was a medieval moated castle. Approximately in 1600 then was converted into a Renaissance castle. The current appearance of the plant was substantially in the years 1817 to 1820 of Carl August, Benjamin Siegel. The two towers at the rear of the castle, but were not built until 1839 by Homann. The surrounding nine acres of parkland in the English landscape style was born in 1820 and was replaced by HW and J.E. Freschke created. [1] The plans are due to Peter Joseph Lenne.
On 17 October 1928 was incorporated into the hitherto independent Gutsbezirk Lübbenau castle in the town Lübbenau. Wilhelm Graf zu Lynar 1928 was able to rule Lübbenau. The count's family moved their residence in 1930 after Seese, on the local property of the family. Also, to save estate taxes [2] was established on 1 May 1932 the museum opened. With the establishment of the Director of the Mark Brandenburg Museum Berlin was hired. There were often significant painters created family portraits of Lynar, prehistoric remains, controversial writings of Martin Luther, a music and collection of weapons, the arms of Count John Siegemund from the Thirty Years' War and other art and everyday objects from the history of the castle. When the Second World War, the collections were moved by Seese. The imperial airforce established in the castle and the Orangerie a cartographic institution, a.
