I've named it that and the canons are pointing right at those 2 parked cars which just didnt move all day- didnt want them in the shot, but wanted the canons at that angle. The coffee shop in the background is quite famous. The Darnley Coffee House is a high quality eaterie in Stirling, Scotland house in the vaults of the medieval Darnley's House Situated in the heart of Stirling's Old Town, Darnley Coffee House is to be found in the vaulted cellars of "Darnley's House" which is built on the site of Lord Darnley's lodgings in 1565.

A wee bit hard contrast, but it seems to suit the image well. The cars are a part of our daily life so the dont bother me at all. I would have given the scene a litle more DOF so the buildings comes out clearer.

The contrast is harsh but I quite like it, is this the painterly effect?

In Photomatix you can avoid the painterly pre-set and drag the lighting bar left of center-point to get some painterly effect. Just sayin'
