Memorial Day weekend here in the U.S. and a local military base put on a display of old-time aircraft. This particular one is a Russian AN-2 (known as an Annie) and manufactured in the 1940's.

Love it Robert.. that looks similar to the U.S. Army Beaver with radial engine but the Beaver was a single over-head wing. I have sky-dived from a Beaver at 12,000 feet over 200 times. Again.. love the pic.

excellent process Robertt. great shot. And who knew John was such a manly man. As a former pilot, I am seriously impressed on both counts.

Thanks John and Randall. I was on the ground in Viet Nam during '69 & '70. John, was that you that I saw sky-diving overhead!! Ha

Superb image. Bit light round the wing but I am not scoring it down for that

I'm not going to stare too long looking for something to mark it down. I can't. Brill.

Great plane, great shot. We have an old AN-2 in my city, painted in red. There is also a Junkers Ju-52 flying over my house four times a day in summer. I can hear her approaching from miles away. My Das flew on a Ju-52 (Auntie Ju) in WWII. And unlike John

Hansi and Rainer, thanks for the comments and your vote. And just like you Rainer, I appreciate having my feet on the ground. Kudos to those who can experience that type of adventure.
