During the 1960s the British Government closed down any of teh small railroads in Scotland. Some fell into disrepair. IN others, the local communities rallied round and made the small stations a feature of the local town. This is what happened here and the station is now turned into small coffee shops and book stores. You can see the old railway track in the middle.

To my country the trains were brought to the British, and the stations are the English model, now practically non circulate passenger trains, charging only and those beautiful stations are falling into disrepair. Great picture.
