One of my favorite birds, the pelican, taken at the zoo. They live on a lake surrounded by forest and lovely bushes of Elderberry, as seen in the photo. I realize some will say that parts of the pelican are to bright or "burned" but that is just the sunlight on white feathers. I do not want the pelican to look flat when it's obviously touched by sunlight, it's just not natural.

@dirk, I don't know...does it matter? it's a very small part you are talking about and I think it's nice how the sun hugs the branches...don't know, let me see

yeah, it would look good too, I guess you are saying the sun makes the flowers a little bright?

Near Perfect. Feathers under tail, Crest of head and feet to Bright for a Perfect score IMHO. 9.5

Yeah I know :)). To me it looks natural, sunlight on white feathers, unnatural otherwise

Forgot to mention. I love the rest of this Image. Perhaps a Re-Work and Re-Post sometimes in Future would earn you a Perfect Score. Faved nonetheless.

Very nice Adi. Be reminded that what your eye sees as pleasing may not be seen by another as such. It is difficult to shoot a pic that all agree is perfect comp.. lighting.. processing.. etc. When you see one that all agrees on that is as perfect as you

can get but the reality is that truly perfect is seldom seen on earth. :) Again.. excellent shot..!!

Digicam, believe it or not I reworked this image 12 times! :)) it was very hard as I dealt with lots of ghosting and a cleanup of millions of bugs flying in the sun light :))
