I desaturated the tree slightly and the other colors just slightly. So I think what you are seeing is just muted colors. I think the main subject may not need more contrast. But you might be right.

Great action shot. I agree with the contrast on the main subject, looks pretty good on my screen. Just a few halo problems in the back ground and some serious noise here and there. Otherwise great job.
