Notes This shot was made few weeks ago, a day after having borrowed a Sigma 10-20, to try it out before I bought it. So I went to Elora with the intention of practising with it.
I'm loving the lens so far. I somehow feel that it has improved my composition awareness. Or maybe that has just been happening since I started posting a pic day on my blog.
Of course it's possible that any improvement I've noted is merely a figment of my imagination!

The little town of Elora in Ontario has a lovely old mill that has been converted into an inn, along side the Grand River. As the river flows downstream it falls down some steep rocks and enters into the Elora Gorge. It's a great place to spend a summer weekend!

Ricardo, that halo over the trees is a problem for me. I have not been processing HDR for very long or even using photoshop regularly till earlier this year, so I feel like I'm at the bottom of the learning curve. So I'm on the hunt to learn how to impr

If you can not get rid of the halos in photomatix then you can use the cloning tool decreasing the opacity of the clone tool to fit your requirements

I have been working on that. It always seems most difficult around uneven tree branches, but that's just practise I suppose.
