Kennesaw Mountain, Ga. Union troops were advancing throught Georgia toward Atlanta on their march to the sea. Confederate Artillerist Maj. George S. Storrs volunteered his troops to clear a path up Little Kennesaw Mountain and during the night of June 19 with 100 men assigned to each cannon, 9 guns were pulled up into position on Little Kennesaw. On June 27, 1864, Stoors troops help repel union forces from taking the mountain and advancing during a major union assault.

This picture tells a story, I like the process, but I like best the tones of the photo, almost only two colors green and brown, give it a special touch.
