Notes Luminance HDR. NIK
Luminance is still the best for the process i prefer.
I like detail, but I also enjoy a softer, dreamy feel to an image.

The mill is gone. It burned down in 1902, Still, the waters of the river above Costley Mill are directed by the stones placed in the Yellow river's path over 150 years ago. In the days when the Cherokee lived off of these lands, a lowly miller and his family were welcomed to build a home and a mill to bring food to the wilderness. The mill pond became a center of gathering for the wandering pilgrims who passed through and for those who settled nearby.

WOW this this really needs sharpening. um no. it's the way I want it. Contrast? nope. same answer. If you hate it, give it an 8 or a 7. It's not up to your standards? Go lower, PLEASE>

Was the hazy soft glow intentional? It definitely causes a loss in detail. I am actually squinting to try and see it better to no avail!

I am one who would prefer some sharpening, but not totally. I like your idea of creating a dream-like feeling, but it is just a bit too much for me.
