This is one of the roses that I got for my wife. I wanted to show the decay that is starting to happen already. I used a slightly more harsh process to bring out the details of the decay.
Oh, and I added the water drops just for the heck of it.

Flat with no textures? I see plenty of textures on the right hand side. Parts of roses are smooth as well. Not sure what you are referring to by "flat with no textures" I used NO micro smoothing and even added some detail at post

Each rose photo has been superb! As an added note, I've been told that if you stick a pin through the bulbous part below the petals and remove the pin (don't leave it in), the flowers will last longer.
