"La calle de los suspiros" ("Whisper´s street") is a historical street located at Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay.
This street has been pronounced as a world heritage by the UNESCO in 1995 and it is a living reminder of the times of the colloquial age, as it still holds many of this age's architectonic features.
"La calle de los suspiros" is known because of its mysterious stories well known all over Uruguay.
- One story tells that prisoners convicted to death were taken to that street and tied up until they were drowned at the shore.
- Another claims that there used to be many brothels and that local sailors whispered for the love of the womans.
- And there is a last story that tells that once there was a lady in love who was stabbed by an unknown person while she was waiting for his lover, and now haunts the street every fullmoon night.

I like the symmetry of this image. Great composition, even though it might 'violate' some traditional rules. Perhaps a bit heavy on the processing, but adds drama to the shot. Nice.

Really nice compostition...the window to the left drew my attention away from the focus point I just feel there is too much wasted space to the left of this picture ;-)
