The original Mill was built in 1780 by Ezekiel Pease right next to the waterfall. It burned in 1900 and was rebuilt, but a story shorter. In 1936 it was rebuilt again to it’s pre fire configuration, which was probably larger than Pease’ original structure. The Mill functions of one of many very few water powered operating saw and grist mills in Vermont.
