  • Notes I confess to putting a bit or artificial sunlight on the foreground rocks using NIK Color Efex Pro 4. They would have been almost black without HDR though.

On the shore at Betty's Bay, battered beds of Table Mountain Sandstone dip inland. The shapes of the hills in the background reflect this same attitude. The beds are much flatter way to the West at Cape Town, but I'll tell you a secret. They are not at all flat at Table Mountain. They only look that way from the northern side. Go round the back and Table Mountain is no longer a flat table at all.
