The old Groote Schuur cemetary in Cape Town is going to be "repurposed" soon, so this is the last chance to see any of the monuments. The palm trees have already been cut down and much has been destroyed. Here is a view of one of the remaining funary monuments. Behind that is an old family vault. Behind that is a corner of the historic Groote Schuur Hospital which saw Dr Christiaan Barnard perform the world's first heart transplant in 1967. Towering over the scene is the Devil's Peak, part of Table Mountain National Park.

Old cemeteries make great shooting, low, tight and monochrome....and a few ghosts thrown in!
