This old neighbourhood is a beautiful corner of the city. The little streets brings you back to a different era.

The processing of the buildings are nearly Perfect IMHO, beautiful detail and color except for some slight Green and Purple Halos (on tops of Roof) can be seen when viewing on Zoom. The sky is where you went too far. The White clouds blazing white like a BULB is considered BURN in HDR terms, and unless it's beginning to rain those white spots are noise (zoom to view top right) probably from pushing it too far. I love pushing as well but most times when processing............ less is more.

Nice image Carlo, would like to visit there myself… I agree with Ed, the highlights are blown (No details) within the sky & the C/A Chromatic Aberration on the building edges. You can easily correct that in Lightroom Carlo by clicking on ‘Lens Correction’ in the “Develop Mode” then tick both boxes…..

@digicam thanks for the feedback as usual Ed. I agree the sky is clearly burnt. About the spots it's pollen. The air was full of it. I removed most of it but I missed a few. Not helping my hay fever as well.

@inkslinger_ii thanks Graham. Gent is definitely worth visiting. I went with the Eurostar from London. Very pleasant trip. I use lens correction sometimes to straighten the image. I did not notice much difference with the remove chromatic aberration but it's probably due to pushing too hard with processing. I wanted the image to pop but there is a price to pay for that ?

@carlo , That's a Heck of a Camera and Lense to pick up Pollen from that far away. Can you imagine what you would have captured with a Prime Lens? LOL

I love the composition, the leading lines, and the road into "somewhere"...sky, not so much, but overall the picture catches my attention and I find it very interesting, which may be due to my love for old European cities... well done Carlo!

@eduardo_kiehl Thank you. Yeah that would have worked as well. I've noticed my -2 exposure have no blows. I should have maybe masked it with that as final touch.
