Thaba-Bosiu (the Mountain at Night), near Maseru, is THE national monument of the Besuthu people. It is the birthplace of Lesotho as a nation, where Moshoeshoe made his stand and founded the kingdom. On this day, dignitaries from Cuba and Lesotho (with the usual parade of cars and a military guard) were visiting, and a special series of performances were put on. Here television people (Cuban and local) try to capture some of the singing and dancing going on inside this house compound – futile with the reed fence in the way, I think.
