  • Notes I fitted my camera with the 40mm/f2.8 pancake to which I mounted an old 4-star filter I picked up in a sale somewhere. It's 49mm so I had to use a step-up ring. The images were merged in LuminanceHDR with the Fattal tonemapper, exported to a TIFF and post-processed in Gimp/GMIC

Standing next to Amsterdam's central train station you can see the ferries going across the ij waterway towards Amsterdam North. On the opposite bank, the A'DAM Tower (formerly the global HQ of the Royal Dutch Shell company) and next to it the Eye Film Museeum.

While I Like the composition in itself I am not a fan of the Four Star filter addition to the capture. I find it to be distracting and overwhelming the image. Just One Man's Opinion. Thanks for efforts and posting.

@digicam Appreciate the response and I'm not too sure about the effect either but it was just an experiment.

@newmikey , Yes, I understand and the next three or four people may love it, who knows. Just a matter of Taste that's all. Keep posting. Your images are always welcomed here.
