@digicam Thank you Ed. How close are you to where the hurricane will make landfall? Keep us posted on the storm.

@kitfox , as of last update the Eye, which is packing winds at landfall of over 100mph will past within 25 miles of my home. It is still too early to tell as we are still under the Bullseye and could very well take a direct hit. It should make landfall within the next 6-8 hours. Weather conditions are worsening and wind and rain is occurring now as I type this message. We are hoping that it will turn more to the East and spare us. A Cold front approaching from the West may save us from the worst of it if it can continue to push thru. Will let you know how it turns out either later today or tomorrow.

@kitfox , 6:15 Central time here. I've lived here all my life and have endured many Hurricanes in my 70 Years of life, but I must say this was the strangest one ever. It made landfall at 4:30 Central in Cocodrie La. which is roughly 20 miles Southeast of my house in Houma. It was traveling at 24MPH. Fastest Cat 2 Storm I've ever seen. I was just on the West edge of the Eye Wall. Constant winds for over an hour of 50-60 mph with gust to 85. 5+ inches of rain but no damage that I can see as of now. Will Check the roof tomorrow. 20 minutes after everything calmed down I lost electrical Power.....Go Figure. Thank God I have a whole home Generator. Yes, I i've lived and learned over the years.....LOL. The East side of the storm was much worse and always is. they had winds of 120 with gust to 135. This is the 7th time this year that we've been under the Gun from Hurricanes. The two worst hit Lake Charles, La. Take Care.
